2 stars is being generous! Arrived at hotel to check in and the front desk clerk was not very presentable, in fact he looked like a lost cast member from the movie deliverance. I just credited this to night shift , while walking to the room I almost stepped in a puddle of vomit in the parking lot, and noticed another about 10 feet away. At this point I'm starting to regret my decision as I usually use holiday inn. Get into the room and it smells like stale vomit and cigarette ashes. Keep in mind this is supposed to be a non smoking room.... I called the front desk and was told all the other rooms were booked. So I called 2 other hotels in the area they were also booked. So I was stuck, I tell you people the photos are deceiving the front desk staff is sub par at best.... There are far better places for the money.
The hotel is really deceptive from the road; it looks like a place you may not want to stay. It looks like they are possible under construction.
Took a motorcycle trip from San Diego to Atlanta to visit my daughter. Stopped to ask when the restaurant would be open. Waited 5-10 minutes while attendant at desk helped someone else. When their talk turned to small talk without the person at least acknowledging my presence I left. I know I was a bit dusty after riding 300 miles but a motel is in the business of servicing travelers. Didn't bother to ask about rates if that was the type of consideration I could expect. Found a Motel 6 where the staff was more then helpful. Service is the key to a successful business!
Mike, the general manager, took my initial phone call and greeted me upon checkin. He was very personable and informative of surrounding places to eat (including their own food on the premises). The room was a nice room (i.e. microwave, mini fridge, flat screen) and was unexpected given the curbside appeal.
Was pretty good. The hotel it's self is out dated, not what I expected for a Ramada. The breakfast at the cafe was great, the rooms where not too bad but not great. The staff was amazing.
HOWEVER..... My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the reality of this hotel. They have the best prices in relation to their immediate competitors (hotels); this was a good start.
We ate at the on-campus facility and the food was decent. The room was clean, neat and definitely NON-SMOKING. Again, we were pleasantly surprised by the premises, service, and prices. Five out of Five for us.
Not fancy, but friendly, clean and comfortable. Have stayed here many times. Also enjoyed the breakfast.
